Vote 2022 campaign materials

The average voter turnout in 2019 was 41.7 percent and local government needs to be seen as a place for a range of candidates and backgrounds. Our Vote 2022 campaign is designed to encourage more people to stand for election, and get more people to vote by positioning local government as relevant, impactful and connected to communities, and for potential candidates to feel excited about community leadership.

A national campaign will have two parts

  • What do you stand for – to encourage people to stand
  • What makes you tick – to encourage people to vote in FPP elections
  • Your vote. Your voice – to encourage people to vote in STV elections

A series of design assets including social media tiles, advert mock-ups, billboard and poster designs are available for councils to customise, along with a social media strategy, media release templates, and branded pencils.

If your council is interested in participating in the Vote 2022 campaign, please email us.
